A lone black headed ibis stretched its neck out over the sand. It stepped gracefully along the waterline, on the shores of the Arabian Sea. The flowering mangroves clung defiantly to the sand with their stilts and spikes. Their delicate scent wafted into the air. A flock of sparrows pecked busily on rocks at the edge of the mangroves.
